First Day
As the two took their time with the groceries, I simply threw myself back into my world of music. I took out my iPod from its place in my sweatshirt pocket, placed my huge earphones back around my ears and pressed play. Why take the time to listen to a conversation that not only am I excluded from, but one that I don't even phonetically comprehend? The answer is quite simple, my rabid readers: You just shouldn't.
It was Arina's tugging that woke me up from my personally induced trance. I remember looking down at her annoyed expression and noticing her delicate pale hand on the sleeve of my red sweatshirt.
"We're done here?" I asked her, accidentally adjusting to the volume of my music. And of course, thanks to my sudden loud voice, I upset the poor girl. Great job, don't you think? The balls on her...I swear! In an upset, Arina reached up and yanked off my headphones. They rested around my neck as she continued to stare away at me with a seething annoyance. She's honestly not that bad of a girl, really! I could be nice to all of you and give an explanation about this but the rest of you put me in this jail cell for the sake of an investigation that probably won't go anywhere so I'll let you guys read this and find out.
"Yes stranger, we're done here." she retorted, still a little bruised over the sudden pitch in volume from me. Despite all the upcoming apologies I threw at her, I don't think Arina really let me off the hook for it until I took her home which was just fine with me. It's what I get for not paying attention to my surroundings. I'm old enough to figure out that A) I'm wearing headphones with blaring music playing and B) I'm in a public area so if anyone ever approaches me, I should pause my player before anything. She shoved her groceries into my arms before turning into the street and walking on.
"Come on, we haven't got all day." Pushy, pushy. But she was still adorable regardless of the impolite nature. Placing my orange iPod back into my roomy sweatshirt pocket, I hold onto to her items as I make my way over to her quick figure.
"So," this is me going into the Lion's Den by the way. "What was that all about hmm?" I have a right to know, don't you think?
