Mind and Soul
The girl with the glasses lifted her right hand up and put it into Gwen's. With her other hand, her eyes also shifted direction towards the third person present. The third one, they shared their room with.

She had long, firey red hair, often tied lazily into a braid and rarely was seen without her trademark, turquiose headband. This particular, 16 year old girl was easily picked out of a hundred people, standing proud 5'9'' tall and having a fairly muscular build. She was the captain of the school's Basketball team and about every student knew her, or at least her name: Meredith Lancaster. The girl took both hands in a firm grip.

She looked at the paper before them, smiled. She was into this whole thing, mainly because she liked challenges. Talking with the dead tended to be an exciting activity. She found it better than watching horror-movies, because it really happened. In her tiny world, ghosts existed. Though she never tried to convince anyone of her beliefs. Well, she had actually tried a few years ago, that's how she had befriended with Elizabeth. It was during the currently 14 year old girl's first year that they had engaged in an argument about the supernatural. It was something they disagreed on, one of the few things as both had found out over the years.
The small, shy girl and the big, brash one, made up a super tag-team and Gwen served as kind of a balance for the two of them.

"I'm ready," Meredith said. She found herself trembling with excitement, as always.

Gwen nodded, looked down her own, orange pyjama, and found herself wondering, if for once, the ghost would actually be helpful.

A few moments went on, in complete silence. The three girls had their eyes shut and then after a few more seconds they began to chant together.

"Worn-out garments are shed by the body and worn-out bodies are shed by the dweller within the body. New bodies are donned by the dweller, like garments."

The chant came from Hinduism, or so the book had said. It was a certain magical book they had found in the library, pretty old, too. In it, it had been stated, that knowledge of reincarnation was a necessity if one was to engage himself with the spirits.
