"Before the spirit claims a new garment, he shall search for it. On his wanderings he sees the world," and that was the second part of the incantation. The girls opened their eyes, looked on the piece of paper before them.

There were runes drawn in a circle and between them the letters of the alphabet. This actually was a different approach of the 'Let's all put our fingers on the talisman and let the spirit guide us'-approach.

"This we know and if there is a deceased here, yet without garment, we beg of him to-" they started, then Gwen tightened her grip on Elizabeth's hand.
"Would you please take this serious," she said.

The other girl rolled her eyes, "I am taking this serio-," she started rather irritated but was immediately cut off.

"Yeah, right. I can practically taste the sarcasm in your voice. That's why it never works. You should seriously start being serious about this, or else I get serious with you," Gwen formulated. That, Elizabeth answered with a sigh.

"I don't believe in something as superstitous as paranormal, bodiless things that are practically the truth of our being. For that a 'soul' would be needed and from my point of view, that does not exist," she said matter of factly.

The two other girls looked at her. "Can't you just take this serious, like a game," Meredith asked.

"Why do I have to participate anyway?" the younger one answered.

Gwen frowned, "Because a.) you're our roommate and b.) These things are easier the more people you have. You've gotta have lots of people to summon a ghost. And lots means more than two," was basically the whole explanation. Elizabeth hated that. Everytime Gwen wanted to do something like this, you were obliged to participate.
