"Oh yeah. Your the cop, right?"

"yeah."

"You must have said something about taking her in." The guy laughed."Yup, I see it in your eyes. Think about it, Mr. Policeman. She got you in a bathtub filling with water that was laced in a nerve toxin. She could have more than easily killed you. This is her way of telling you to back off. A warning, I would heed, if I were you. She called me to make sure you lived, and to make sure I knew, she wanted you alive and untouched. But make no mistake Sheriff William Adady, she will kill you next time. Now, the toxin will completely wear off in an hour or so. You will be fine. Don't come looking. Just keep your nose here in your town where it belongs. And we will stay in our neck of the woods.

"Unless our paths cross again."

"Us? Cared about? Hmp!" But the guy was gone.

Billy snapped back to the present.

Danni waved her arm to include all the men, "Piece of Cake. You warned them, uh?"

"Yeah."

"Some just don't listen, ay Chief?" She watched his eyes flash bright blue, knowing he remembered what happened to him when he didn't listen.

"Touche, Danni."
