I couldn't tell if he just nicked me, or if he had cut off half of my ear due to the flow of adrenaline. He began to attack again, but this time he made no contact. Before he could swing, my sword was already inside of chest, and this time I was smart enough not to pull it out. Not giving him a chance to recuperate from my strike, I grabbed both of his arms, and pulled as hard as possible. Luckily, they didn't heal like the cut. With fear in his eyes, he tried to crawl away, but before I allowed him to do so, I pulled my sword out of his sweet, syrupy chest.
"Hey, what happened to the other three sticks?" I asked. "Look around" Said the unicorn, so I did. I then saw the unconscious bodies of four french toast sticks lying on the ground. "You took on four of them at once?" I asked puzzled."Sure did!" he said with a smile going from one ear to the other."Woah, remind me not to piss you off." I said "Hey, whats's your name anyway?" "Kaleb." he said plainly.
It wasn't long before we made our way through the rest of the forest. We made a makeshift bandage for my ear.(which did in fact have a notable sized piece taken out of it) Luckily, I was okay. Kaleb told me how wounds heal within hours in the land of the Snausberries. "We're almost to the Teddy Bear Council!" said Kaleb. "Look over there! You can see it!" He was right, a towering building was on the horizon. It wasn't long now before I could make it there, and figure out why I was in the Land of the Snausberries in the first place.
We walked for hours, but it felt like minutes because there was so much to see. Kaleb wasn't at all impressed by the unicorns flying everywhere, the gnomes and elves walking around picking pillow fights with the dwarfs, the vast, colorful mushroom trees, or even the rainbow colored grass, but I was amazed. "We're here. We're at the Teddy Bear Palace" Kaleb sighed "The Council awaits you". "Wait, you aren't coming with me?" I asked anxiously. "Sorry, I'm not permitted inside this building" he said. "Crap, I guess I just have to talk to them myself" I said, and slowly walked to the front door of the palace.
I walked in, and the lobby vaguely resembled that of a hospital lobby. It had a plain white wall color, and white tiles. There were hard chairs, and a woman at the front desk. "How may I help you?" said the front desk lady. "Wait, you're the only other human that I've seen so far in this world. Why is that?" I asked "Humans are rare in the land of the Snausberries" she said. "There are only a few hundred in the entire world." "Oh..." I said thoughtfully. "Well anyway, I'm here to see the Teddy Bear Council to discuss my being here." "I know, they have been waiting for you. They are located at the end of the hall to your right." she said.
