Its the first weekend in Spring
Sunshine, warm breeze and florals
Pedestrians and bikes fill the streets
Wonder where they came from

The garden is bursting with life
Adorable kids and curious dogs
Families enjoying the lazy day
Forgetting about the mundane

We sit on a bench in the shade
Sipping our tea and talking
Cover a myriad range of topics
I realize how pleasant the day is

Dusk sets in, the skyline lights up
We slowly disappear into the crowds
I smile and reminisce about the day
I feel peaceful and just at home.
