"The term, Idiot, was 'our' child." her emphasis on our nearly made him faint. What child? He knew she had the flu for a little while, the stomach flu, with a fever and unable to keep food down for about a week.
She recovered over that though, assured him that she had been feeling better after he freaked out for a bit... but that had been... his eyes narrowed at her and he felt something build up inside of him, "Our child? OUR child? You didn't think I wanted to know that?!"
Now, he stood his ground as she took a step towards him full of indignant fury that was shown more through her eyes than the calm voice she forced onto herself, "What so you could run off as soon as you heard that there was going to be some sort of commitment? That you'd have to take care because something small and fragile required YOUR attention?"
He was becoming annoyed at this point, not enjoying having his faults laid out before him on a platter. Never before had she gone to this point of berating him, "Oh like you didn't have your faults? You are nothing like you used to be, you could have so easily changed you would have made a terrible mother if you could willingly put your life at risk when you knew you were pregnant!"
"I DID IT TO SAVE YOU AND THE OTHER CHILDREN!" Her voice peeked and she had angry tears coming from her eyes before bringing her fist back and planting it into his face, sending him across the hall and crashing into the wall, "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND ANY OF IT!"
It came down to him feeling his jaw... having to reset it, but leaving himself in the pieces of wall almost playing possum. Silence reigned on as she glared at him for what felt like forever, her breathing slowing to something more calm before she added, "Perhaps you are better for Summer than you are Dela. I am sure Dela doesn't need another ignorant idiot following her around like a mutt." The snowy-haired woman then stalked off.
