'That' had been a gold oval locket with a stone set into it that was colored pearly and glinted in the light with some rainbow, an opal. It was left unopened though, Kia refusing to touch it for fear that it would somehow vanish and the weight was a creation of her own imagination, "That... do you think... do you really think that is supposed to make me feel better?"

A reply was about to be given until screams were heard down the street and something akin to an explosion was heard. Already, Kia felt it and stood up immediately and ran, "It's a demon! Stay here, Aria!" She bolted. Hands went to a large shell she had on her person, held onto her with a strap going across her chest. The minstrel's stromb, a weapon that absorbed whatever the player wanted to absorb, and released just the same onto whomever they wanted to.

It went along with whatever stored accumulation of such a thing, such as pain with pain, sorrow with sorrow. The beastie was rather large, more like a mutated bull thrashing around insanely without much of any sort of goal except to destroy. It seemed it really disliked hunters, as for when she reached her destination the thing wheeled around and charged forward at her.

'Shit' she thought. It was fast, and she had to for a second before she moved the stromb up to her lips to begin playing a tune, something slow, dragging almost. It's effect wasn't immediate though and inwardly she swore again until
