Tears fell down the cheeks of the blood soaked hunter and she stood in silence, gripping onto her shell once more, turning with eyes full of rage at the thrashing demon that was lapping up the blood that dripped down from its horn.

It took only a minute for Kia to play her song, it sounded harsh, and violent and the demon let out a hideous cry before falling slumped and becoming a rather disgusting pile of mush.

She turned away from it, as it was going to go away soon enough anyway. The gem had already vanished... and she felt... for a moment blank wondering why she was so enraged to begin with. Hand scooped up the locket and curiosity got her to open it... causing Kia to crumple to her knees and tears anew spilling out as the memory tore fresh into her heart again once more.

The demon had killed her sister... her last living relative that she only got to know for what seemed like a few minutes. Silent sobs fell from her as she crumpled forward, holding the locket, covered in blood, and people just avoided the entire area as if there was some sort of void.

Soon, the locket was put around her neck after much crying... she had to go home now... her personal business was done. It seemed as though the tears now would not stop... a slight confusion as Kia started to not be able to recall why she felt so torn.

It didn't matter, she figured, as there probably was a good reason she was crying. Heavenly cities had that effect on her after all... and she went home with tears in her eyes and sorrow ebbing away slowly.

Short lived were mortals.
