But for Riven Cale there is a more immediate problem; the small village where he grew up has been razed by the Caliph of Ceylon, who rejects the Guardians and particularly the daughter who shunned him.
Driven near mad by rage Cale returns to his homeland with one mission; kill the Caliph and all of his family. Desperately the remaining Guardians follow, hoping to save him and continue the quest.
But time is running out; the deep evil is approaching, and there is still much to do.
