"Hey what's going on?" I announced. They barely looked up at me, "Why the hell is it so dark in here? Why don't you turn on some lights and open up the blinds" I said while walking around the room, flicking on a few switches and opening the huge blinds in the living room, allowing light to flood into the room.
"Oh, that's much better", said my mom, still not taking her eyes off of the papers. My father had a stupid grin on his face. I was about to walk upstairs but decided to put down my school bag instead and go over to the couch and stand in front of my mother and father.
"What's all this?" I asked. I couldn't even tell what they were looking at, home an hour early (at least) from work, going gaga over a stack of pamphlets and brochures. I picked one up to browse through it.
"Oh, well your father and I are going to brazil!" my mother said excitedly
