Back as to how to unify the fundamental forces of the universe we may look to geometry, but it's no secret... one part in the description of the force has to resemble one and all, in part, of the other fundamental forces. Think of a Venn diagram logic diagnostic and then reach behind and press forward another sphere of influence till it resembles a smushed tetrahedron. Common enough. Now we have four interlocking spheres instead of three circles, and this would be enough to unite all four fundamental forces as long as each of the spheres overlapped in some small venue. This all resembles in my mind the four dimensions of time and space and how they unite in our reality, but there is supposed in some circles to be more dimensions than that like in string theory, but we have some difficulty imagining how they would overlap with four interlocking spheres. No I don't think string theory knows what it's about. The tightest packing of spheres is a unit of 13. Life has a duality but I'm not sure it's death, more so an unliving, planets, solar systems, galaxies(do we even have a name for this pattern)... has to be something tied with living but its opposite not its absentia. Then there's taxes hmmm... income maybe. And lastly money who's tail and face tell the story.
So now we're not looking at a commonality of four spheres of influence but now 8, but I'm sure the physicists would be happy with just 4 unified, to be sure. The problem in my mind is that life is so hard to quantify. Life is a realm of probabilities. Twins with the same genetic material show probabilities even in genetic diseases and so this is hard to discover a monetary equivalent let alone accounting for the productive consequences or the lack thereof of future actions, but for this theory to work there has to be some overlap. One estimate is the cost of living, but then we butt up against the sacredness of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness all the individuals encompass here in America which is to be sure, incalculable but by God. This is an imaginary wall of course, Garrette Lisi has purportedly found a simple theory of everything, and I'm off to buy the T-Shirt. I don't pretend to understand it except he uses a box, and in that box contains seeds. It is really a momentous time, maybe even a revolutionary time. The future will sow these seeds to grow wondrous things: energy, materials, motion... everything physics is involved with, maybe even flying cars.
