"I do not wish to frighten, but I fear that worse is coming. We need to get these people to safe haven--or at least out of the open, first tunnels. There are supplies to be had, they need not worry about that."
So mysterious, she thought, but knew his words rang true. "On, then!" she mustered the people one by one. "We press on to the rest and repast that stands ready to greet us."
As they journeyed the halls, her mind spun, too fast to truly concentrate on any one thing. "Where were they going? What had happened? What did he mean, tomb of wisdom? How could it save them? How many of her people had survived? Who had done this?" With that, her mind sharpened, her thoughts crystallized on one picture: the man in the fighter. The strange markings on his ship. The smile on his face as he dropped the package-the bomb. That bomb. There was something, something. But what? What was she remembering? Something from her past haunted her, and she dreaded what ghosts were in her past.
