It takes so long. It can take long just to start. Forever trying for what seems like an impossible challenge. This struggle for this common act of brilliance. This moment. The one can happen without even trying. A miracle. A miracle some have to strive for and other not. You look at those who have it dropped upon them. They don't thank for it, they don't want it. They push it away. But once you have it, it lasts so timelessly. We never think of it ending. These many parts can't be stopped. These sections through time are so huge, so immense. But so valued. The end can be long and suffering. It can be undeserved. A long precious one can be defeated by someone who cares not about you. Knows not of your time. For although it seems to last forever it can end in a snap. A simple click of the fingers and its gone. Taken away. Carelessly even. Painfully. Gone. Life.

A soft touch. Gentle. Rough. Strong and pushing. Sucking delicately on the lower lip. Teeth nibbling. A kiss.

The smell hits me first. The damp, comforting smell. It reminds me of spring, of life, of fresh beginnings. The first drop falls. The gentle plink as it taps hello on my shoulder. Then the next. Falling together making imaginary patterns where they land. A constant beat of miniature drums. I lie there with the heavens opening above me as the rain falls down. The intensity increases. The drops grow before my eyes. Soaking me in seconds. Torrential rain beats down almost painfully on my chest. I laugh a laugh of pure joy as it empties onto me. I love rain.

Rich tangy skin surrounding it. The burst of flavour I can smell as it is ripped open. Juice drips down my chin leaving sticky paths behind. The white pith creates a pungent odour hanging around the fruit. The swirling flavours in my mouth overwhelm me. The fresh cold tang makes me curl my tongue in anticipation. My favourite fruit is an orange...
