The Red Bed
Kyona lay on the royal bed. It was covered with red silk sheets and a warm soft blanket. The pillows were also wrapped in a scarlet cloth and a thick carpet of the same colour lead to the door. Red was her favourite colour, her eyes were also red. The eyes which he has falln in love with. Kyona sighed deeply and looked at the mirror on the wall at her right.

'He said he'd be back soon,' she pondered, 'he said I wouldn't even notice his absence. Was he...was he lying to me? No...he wouldn't dare...he would not dare...'

Her face darkened, eyebrows coming together. Kyona was not to be messed with. In spite of her young age and weak appearance, she was the Princess of the Crimson Land, over which the sun threw the most beautiful light whenever it was setting. He was...he was a mere butler whom she had mercy for. But then, he claimed to love her...he looked deeply in her eyes and sopke slowly and clearly, "I love you, Kyona." She smiled.

"He'll be back. He promised to be," the white haired girl whispered admiring her reflection.

'Ah...I surely wished for eternal life. But my body is invaded by darkness.' The man opened his eyes.

"Oh dear, you're finally awake," a voluptuous woman spoke. "For a moment, I thought ya were dead, counstable."

"I'm not a counstable," Rui countered. The woman blinked surprised, straightening up.

"You're not? Then why did you follow me?"

Rui tried to remember what had happened. He recalled having descended to lock the doors and seeing a woman approach the gardener. She kissed his neck and then he dropped dead. 'I will be back, I promised,' he shouted to his mistress and ran out the door, following the unknown person.

"You killed an innocent man!," he exclaimed indignantly. The woman rolled her eyes, as if used to this kind of statements.

"I had to eat my supper, you silly man. And you just offered me desert, you taste heavenly."
