I wish I could remember more of my dreams. Every now and then I'll have a real vivid one, which might stick around for a few hours, but by the afternoon it's akin to a drunken haze. There have to be at least a few good articles around about dream recall and lucid dreaming, I'll have to check those out. Whenever my friends talk about their dreams I feel obliged to contribute to the conversation, and I'm sure my manufactured dreams sound just a little too fantastic to be believable. I've heard writing down your dreams in the morning when they're fresh in your mind can help, maybe I can use the first paragraph of my page for that each day. If I have time; the warden---I mean Dad---got pissed because I had the gall to fall back asleep at 6 in the morning and now he won't wake me up anymore. My bus arrives at 7:30. I shower the night before. I must be missing the reason I need an hour and a half to get ready for school. I do everything the night before, it seems reasonable that I should get an extra hour of rest. Usually I don't fall fully asleep like I did this morning (I vaguely remember being bullied into playing photographer for a wedding), I'll just lie there in bed, watching the clock. I'm up and getting dressed by 7. Oh well, at least now I won't have a light shining into my room for an hour while I try to relax. Most of the time I go to bed worrying about something, and that translates into a less-than-optimal sleep. That extra hour is my prep time, when I steel myself for the ennui of the closing days of high school. I would've explained that this morning, but...I was too groggy to say anything coherent and he didn't seem to be in the mood for listening.
Oh, and thank you to whoever requested I write another page. That was a nice 1 PM pick-me-up. Most of the time I have to shut everything out to write anything, but this comes a lot easier because I don't have to stay on-topic or keep things within the bounds of "reasonability." I like to write things, little stories and poems, stuff like that. In a folder buried somewhere in My Documents is a folder with detailed outlines for longer stories, and I hope to finish at least one some time before college is over. Well, looks like my page is almost up for today. Thanks for reading, maybe I'll put up a poem or part of a story tomorrow--after my dream log (hopefully).
