Iris felt for the railing of the stairs and walked down to the kitchen. Her feet ached from training, but allowing that to stop her from eating would be allowing life to get the best of her. Never that. "Ms. Iris, what are you doing down here?" she turned to the voice.
"I am eating, as any human does, is that a problem because we can gladly take that up with my father." Silence.
"I figured you'd see it my way," she smirked and continued down to her destination.
She tip toed towards the fridge and bumped into someone, she was grinned when the voice said, "If I didn't know any better, I'd say that you aren't supposed to be down here."
"Jasper, get out of my way," he laughed and put his hands on her shoulders.
"Oh Iris, I'm afraid your mother was five steps ahead, I've been put here so that you CAN'T come in."
"Jasper!"
"I"m sorry, I"m gonna have to shrug on that, I can't let you go." she placed her hands on his cheeks.
"Jasper, I've known you for...what? Five years? You can't break this one rule?" she knew at the moment when he put her hands on her cheeks that he wasn't let her go.
"Iris, I've known you for what...Four years? You can't understand that I'm scared of your father?" she sucked her teeth in anger and pushed him off.
"You suck Jasper,"
"But you love me." she rolled her eyes and took his hand.
"Can you at least help me upstairs?"
"Why of course," he took her arm and led her slowly up to the stairs. She jumped onto his back.
"Iris
