3. Nolan Affair

He had a mistress that was drop dead gorgeous who made no demands on him. She knew he was married and knew he wasn't going to leave his wife for her, and she was
more than okay with that. She didn't want anything to do with marriage. She wanted to be able to pick up and go when she wanted, which was fine with him.
Brandon picked up the phone and dialed another number. He also had a very lucrative side business. "Make sure my supplies are available."
"Will do."
"You were late last time."
"I won't be, I promise."
"You better." He hung up and leaned back in his chair. Yeah, life was very, very good.

Some days the shift meetings were short and sweet, some days not so much. Lorant, Cues: front and center. The rest of you, dismissed. Be safe out there." The Sergeant gathered his paperwork together front he shift meeting. "Cam, this is your new partner Paul Cues. Paul, Cam Lorant. Paul came to us from the Forty-second precinct. He's been on the force for three years so not so much the rookie, be nice to him. Paul, our precinct deals with a higher level of dangerous crime then you're used to. Cam's been an officer for six years here. He's on the fast tract for his gold shield. Listen to him and you'll likely ride along. He's one of the best." The Sarge looked at Cam, "Now don't go and get a big head on me."
"Not me Sarge." Cam smiled. He had an idea of how his Sargent felt but it felt nice to hear it.
"Not me Sarge." The Sarge mocked. "Get out of here."
A dispatcher ran up as Cam and Paul walked out the door and handed the Sarge a slip of paper.
