Wasted Willie - Stories About Drinkin'
Introduction -

We have always known that our uncle Willie is a very unique man. We've never met anyone like him, and as his two nephews we might be the only two people in the world who really enjoy uncle Willie. Until now. We believe Willie has some great things to say, and the way he lives his life is often an inspiration to us. We know he isn't perfect, and his temper sometimes gets the best of him, but there are some great things to be learned from the man. We put this book together in the same way Willie lives his life - If you don't have a real sense of humor and you get sensitive about things you might as well return the book now. Go ahead, we don't need the money that bad.
Everything Willie does in life is because it is fun, funny, or he thinks it's the right thing to do. Can you say this about your own life? Do you really live life without fear? Willie fights for what is right, laughs at what he thinks is funny, and flips off anybody who doesn't like it. We think he's also a lot smarter than he lets on, and he's definitely happier than he sounds. Uncle Willie is almost always smiling and if he's the butt of a joke he gives as good as he got and he doesn't mind it a bit. While some of the issues dealt with in this book will make sensitive readers a bit squeamish, rest assured that Willie takes everyone at face value. He might think his "special needs" nephew is funny, but he laughs with him rather than at him, and they very much enjoy each other's company. He jokes about race, sex, religion, sexual preference, and anything else he can get a laugh out of.
The great thing about the way Willie lives his life is that he can't lose. When he dies he will have lived more than most, laughed more than anyone we've ever met, and done everything his way. His critics and enemies can hate him all day, but it doesn't affect him. He continues to live the way he likes and have a good time every day and he laughs at the idea that anyone would waste a day being angry at someone for the kinds of things he does with his life. In his view he's racing ahead of his critics every day that he has fun and they sit around grumbling about his boorish behavior.
Willie does regret some of his boorish behavior, in particular the occasional violent outburst that actually bruises someone. He does believe that slapping someone who does something stupid should be acceptable, but neither Willie nor his nephews or the publisher of this
