Prologue
Ever since I was a little girl I dreamed of love. My Ken and Barbie were living happily ever after in their pink convertible and my two guinea pigs were happily married. Through primary school, I helped my friends talk to their crushes, convinced if I helped them, the world would help me. I couldn’t wait until I’d have my very own ‘happily ever after’. In high school this dream began to fade as I saw my friends hearts get broken over and over again. But then I met him and I believed. With him by my side I’d get my ‘happily ever after’.
Now, at eighteen I knew there was no such thing.
