There is something about drunken discussion. They have a way of making perfect sense then and there, and you seem to come up with the best arguments, but if you are (un)lucky enough to remember them the next morning they are never as brilliant as they seemed. The fact that you solved all of the world's problems the night before never seem as big of an accomplishment in the early morning light with a banging headache and the need to spend the day crouched over a toilet.

But the feeling you have during these special discussions, the feeling of superiority and the absolute clarity that only appears after you have had a few too many. That is a special feeling. Some of the best nights are spent in a quiet corner after a good party chatting absolute crap with your mates, or sometimes complete stranger. You never make better friends than when you are drunk. Sometimes you meet completely random people, and the turn out to be the best people in your life, and more important than you could ever imagine.

Sometimes, though, the random people you meet, turn out to be a total creeps, and you end up wishing you never met them, but I suppose that such is life. You have to kiss a few toads and all, you never know where you might end up.

It is too bad, really, that all the brilliant knowledge that appear during the drunken conversations are either never remembered or just ignored and thrown away as idiotic, drunken babling. I think one loses a lot of good knowledge, I think things we don't even realise that we know appears when one is drunk and without inhabitions. I might sound like an alcoholic of some sort, but I do believe in the positive power of alcohol. Of course, there are negative sides, maybe even more than positives, but I cannot help but love that special feeling. The feeling my life is based on. The feeling that gives absolute happiness.
