Not much can be said about the small form that ascended into the night sky. Normally the view of some kid with light blue hair rising to the heavens on wings would have her staring in awe, but at the moment Trish just wasn't in the mood.
First, she woke up to the yowling of the cat next store...again. That damn cat was always up before the sun and protested loudly to being on the wrong side of the door. Then Slate, the crazy blue-tick he is, decided the squirrel to the right wasn't running up a nearby tree fast enough and chased after it, dragging her along by his leash.
But those happen all the time, every day; nothing from normal. It wasn't until she got to work that the day started spiraling out of Normal-ness. She had a meeting to go to at 9, and walked in 5 min. early, settling down. When the boss-man strolled through the door, he seemed a bit...off.
"Good morning Ms.Clark; you're here early. Would you like some coffee?" To an outside observer he was just being nice; but Mr. Boss isn't nice. Ever. After staring at him for a few seconds, Trish decided he wasn't pulling her leg.
"Uhh...thanks but I'm all set." Taking a gamble she decided to continue. "Are, you feeling alright Sir? With all due respect (which is none) you never offer coffee...or anything for that matter." She could get chewed out for this, but something strange was going on and Trish wasn't one to just say, 'hey, whatever'.
"Oh, well...I'm just in a good mood is all. Good Morning, Ms. Lakewood! Take a seat. I'm sure the others will be here shortly." He flashed the newcomer a smile, holding out the seat next to Trish. Sam, a.k.a Ms. Lakewood, froze mid-step looking in confusion from Mr. Boss, to Trish, and back. Trish Shrugged and so Sam cautiously made her way to her seat.
