Carla Harlo trotted down the trail to Clove Hollow Manor. She noticed the weeds sprouting through the cracks in the old red clay road. It wasn't so long ago that the traffic to and from the manor kept the weeds at bay. The manor once housed countless parties and festivals. Sir Mirwyn and Lady Frances Hunley, the previous occupants, were not like most nobility. They believed in mingling with the town people. Lady Sky, Sir Barnebie, and Sir Lockly(their children) were educated at the town school house, rather than the customary royal tutor. After school, the entire student body would scramble down the road to the manor.
One of those students was Carla's mother, Sandi Harlo. It was Sandi Findor then. She loved to tell her daughter stories of The Manor. The games of tag and hide-n-go-seek that were made endless by the 4 floors of twisting and turning corridors, hidden passages, and innumerable hiding places. Often, parents traveled the road to collect their children. Grandma Findorf was one of those parents.
