Gerard shuffled along, staring timidly at the gleaming white floor as whispers and stares were directed towards him. A few particularly loud prisoners yelled catcalls and wolf whistled, shouting profanities at him. Causing him to blush and duck his head further down so strands of blood red hair fell into his eyes and hid his face. The quard squeezed his shoulder quickly in reassurance and stopped in front of a metal door with a glass square taking up most of it, fiddled around with the keys before unlocking the door. He swung it open and stuck his head into the room before turning back to me.

"Iero's out. Just get to sleep, lights out at 9pm." He then walked away briskly. I darted into the room and closed the door behind me, wishing I could lock it and never come out. Inside the room were painted white brick walls and the same flooring as the rest of the corridor, white lenomin. A metal framed bunk bed with thin mattresses on each level was pushed to one side, a few items on the top one which Gerard assumed to be his cellmate's.

He crawled under the covers of the bottom bunk and curled up into a small ball. Trying hard not to cry as he thought of his next ten years, he'd be nearly thirty when he got out. His boyfriend had promised to visit but Gerard had broken it off when he found out about going to prison, it was too long. God, he'd miss, he misses Bert so much. Soon enough tears where freely flowing down his face, muffled sobs escaping the blanket clutched around his fists. Only stopping when the sound of a door scrapping open pierced the air. Gerard wiped at his eyes with his hands quickly and curled up more against the cold wall.

"Gerard Way, right?" A voice asked behind me.

"Y-Yeah." Gerard stuttered, trying to hold back the whimpers clawing their way up his throat.

"Turn around." The man ordered.

"W-Wh-" He tensed up being cut off.

"Sh sugar, just turn around." His voice softened, and Gerard obeyed blinking up at him with wide, scared, hazel eyes.
