I can still see that day clearly even though it's been so long. Seeing you for who you are for the first time, there has never been anything so heart wrenching. I was standing in line for coffee. You didn't see me. You were sitting at a table not to far away with another women. I could tell she like you by the way her eyes devoured your face, ears soaked in your words and how her finger tips were lightly tracing the top of her coffee cup.
I turned away disgusted but like looking away from a car accident it didn't last long. I turned back to see her smiling, tucking her long brown curls behind her ear and biting her lip. You gave her that look that you use to give me when we first met. I use to think that it was terribly attractive but now I realize that it's just a farce. I turned away; my coffee was almost ready but I had a chance to take another glace. I saw you helping her with her coat before I broke my gaze and thanked the barista and took my coffee. I turned back around to see you both leaving the shop together, you arm around her waist.
I don't really remember dropping my coffee I just remember feeling my feet burning and people yelling at me. "What sort of stunt are you trying to pull, lady?!" I couldn't hear them. I pushed past everyone, got into my car and left. This was the beginning of the end.
