Bethany Anderson was the kind of girl that nobody messed with. Not because she was super pretty, which she was, and not because she was mean or intimidating or anything like that, which of course she wasn't. Nobody wanted to mess with Beth Anderson simply because she was Beth. With her petite frame Beth stood at a mere 5'2. Sometimes you would find the blond beauty with her hair in waves down her back sporting high heels and the clothes to match. On those days, Beth looked like a bombshell and everyone either wanted to be her or to be with her. On other days Beth could just as easily slide into a worn pair of jeans and her favorite T-shirt with her hair hanging straight down her back, the thing was she looked just as good on those days as on her "bombshell days". Beth was the total package. She had brains and the beauty and a big heart to top it all off. It was no wonder every guy and girl in her grade fell all over her and it was the reason people were drawn to love and not hate her. They came to her and shared their secrets and trusted her to keep them. They expected a listening ear and some well-known advice for their troubles. At times Beth felt like it was all too much, like all those people asked too much of her but never in a million years would Beth ever say anything to them because truth be known she liked it. She liked being needed and she liked having a place but most of all she truly liked being able to help other people. Beth thought that was what she was good at, so why not right? Good hockey players played; good runners ran and good listeners...well they listened. That's who Beth was. She was pure and sweet and just...Beth and everyone loved her for it.
Everyone including the captain of the hockey team, Kale. He was a major hottie and had snagged Beth almost five months earlier. They had been attached at the hip ever since. All their classmates looked on with awe. Without even realizing it Bethany had become 1/2 of the school's newest power couple. Instead of flinching away from her new found status Bethany used the attention to maneuver her way into even more hearts. Kale's social circles allowed her to get to know even more people and soon even kids from other schools found themselves wrapped around her pinkie finger. Bethany loved it. Kale was perfect, she was in love with him, and personally, she couldn't wait for high school to begin.
Oh, what a dream that would be. When Beth thought about how there was only one month left to her last year of Jr.high it left her breathless. For her high school wasn't some big scary place it was a building where all the people she had come to know from all the area's different schools would come together. She imagined being surrounded at lu
