Eat Cake - Horror
The scariest movie for me has always been Monster Squad. I was in school and everybody was huddled around, whispering. I was like, sup guys, what're we talking about. And everybody was like dude, you've missed the scoop, there was this movie called Monster Squad. And i was like, oh, cool, whatever, you know. Monsters. Acting cool. I was eight years old.

I LOVE Monsters. In a way that's like saying I like the mutated and the burned. I like lepers, but with powers. And I asked them what it was about, and they said it's this movie where there's Dracula, and a Wolfman, and a Frankenstein, and a Fish-man. Yes, the Fish-Man, that horror icon that was never scary at the time and becomes increasingly ridiculous the more you see it. Oh, it's a fish, but it strangles people. You know, like people do. So it's like a person's, except fish don't worry about strangling people, like people do. Oh I remember now, PEOPLE strangle people all the time. And people can run, unlike the weird "I just shit my pants" saunter that the old Universal creatures would walk around with.

And I was told this movie wasn't like all the other movies out there. This had stakes that matter, this was about kids and death. That because of all these monsters killing, THAT'S RIGHT, KILLING children.

As adults, we probably find this horrifying, but as children that's what horror is about. The fact that you might be killed, because you do not really understand what it means. Is it like sleeping, which feels like having a bathtub full of pudding poured on you? Is it a blank feeling, like when two people ask you questions at the same time?

And I was explained that the movie the kids group together and some of them were killed, or dragged into a portal, or bitten by vampires.

Because kids fuck up storytelling. And the reality of things is so much greater than what is actually there. See: religion. It didn't matter that the movie doesn't have great effects, they don't care. Stuff like Avatar is of interest only to adults because the story is incredibly boring. Avatar is the most expensive film, especially if you consider that everyone will need to buy new tvs to watch it. I love how it's a film
