to get across, try to think of your message from the perspective of the person who will see hear or experience it. That will change the way you approach your message. Maybe you'll even think before you open your mouth.
But hey, let's not go overboard!
You know what else matters? Thinking with the end in mind. If you're being savvy about your project, you'll think of the end first, then work backward. In other words, what's the best possible outcome from what you're about to communicate? How would you want the audience to behave? How should they react? What do you want them to do? What actions would they take, ideally?
If you can't answer that question first...you have more work to do.
If you can answer the question(s), then you can begin to build your communication strategy. Your torpid liver is feeling perkier, isn't it? (Wait...have you gone to dictionary.com to look up the meaning of torpid?)
