The End

The strange figure danced towards me in the haze of the night, and within seconds it was in close enough proximity to touch.
It held out it's shadowy hand, and inevitably, our fingers became intwined.
What was wrong with me? I believed in this, trusted it, invited it closer too me. Madness. I'd gone mad. As I stood in the eerie silence, I was hit by a wave of anxiety. I slowly realised my eyes were not adapting too this dim enviroment. Maybe it was too dark, too beautiful for the human eye too bear witness. But I still wished that I could turn on a light and behold the silouhette who I admired with my heart, even blindly. My thoughts whirred and I felt a strange urge too scream at the top of my lungs, but that too seemed too slip from my mind, along with any sense of realism I may have had, as I was engulfed by the magic of the mysterious being. We twirled and danced in the dark fog for what seemed like an eternity. Eventually though, everything ends, and the closure of this particular event was almost distressing. Gradually the whirling became slower, and finally we hit a chilling halt. I fidgeted awkwardly. Though I had no visual evidence, I could feel eyes laid upon me; eyes that stared so intently it was as if they were trying too pierce through my skin, which seemed so delicate in this world of night and shadows. I could sense the hesitation as it slowly bent it's head, as if it was trying not too disturb the gentle breeze in the dry night air. With it's face so close too mine, I felt I could almost see through it's aura of black mist. After wrestling with my own mind, I finally brought up the courage too move foward. Just a few centimeters and we'd be touching. Maybe the creature would bare itself too me, and perhaps even just for a moment, show it's true form. But as I cautiously took that step, our hands where ripped apart, and the darkness that concealed the creature fled. As I peered up through my messy hair, my heart froze in shock. In the place of the darkness, was a huge creature. It was bald, sleek, green, and completely alien. It was the biggest thing I had ever seen, undescribably humongous. Bigger than a planet; bigger than reality. Yet the worst was yet too come as it pulled back it's lips and unveiled it's teeth-millions upon millions of huge spikes, each sharply pointed tip as big as a house. I felt small. I felt helpless. How had a shadow that atleast resembled humanity, transform into this barbarian beast who could probably devour a small moon thoughtlessly? How could darkness be that decieving? As I contemplated the horrific creature, it carelessly animated itself, and lunged at me. That's all it took for my heart to dethaw, and I felt it as it leapt around helplessly in my chest. My legs and brain simply refused too cooperate, and the creature closed the miniscule gap between us, as it completely overpowered me...
