SUICIDE
Webster defines suicide as 'the act of taking one's own life voluntarily and intentionally'. My definition is 'obtaining ultimate freedom'.

Have you ever wondered what it feels like to die? To feel your heart slow it rhythm with every beat? To feel your lungs take fewer, shallower breaths every few minutes? To feel the burn in your brain as its trying to figure out what's going on?

Freedom. Freedom from a frustrated life. Freedom from people who try to control your thoughts and actions. Free from the mundane, the pain, the anger, the solitude.

It's not a cowardly act; nor is it a selfish act. Quite the contrary, actually. It takes an enormous amount of courage to know, for yourself, that your life just isn't worth a shit. It takes a very strong person to admit that their presence on this planet is doing nothing more than causing grief and pain to those lives he/she touches. It takes a wise person to step up and admit that their life isn't worth living, and the frustration of playing it all out until their expiration date is a game they refuse to play.

So who's to say it's a wrong decision, or it's not their decision to make? How can anyone truly know what another person's life is really like? What demons they face, every day of every week? How much of a struggle it is to get out of bed and begin yet another day? To face their loved ones, their co-workers, their neighbors?

Depression isn't always the cause. People usually are. The way they interact. The way they don't interact. Their self centeredness. Their lack of conscience. Their lack of empathy. Their lack of interest. Their lack of feelings. No one is expected to live their life unnoticed. No one is expected to persevere if all roads lead to a destination they didn't select. Only so much can be endured, by anyone.

All lives are different. All lessons we learn are different. And in the end, we all end up dead.
