This worldwide crisis with the Mortavishes started out as a simple misunderstanding between two Liechtenstein mob families: the Mortavishes and the Gacheskys. 50 years ago, in 1999, the Mortavish family killed one of the Gachesky family members for trespassing. The Gacheskys retaliated and a small war erupted in the small country of Liechtenstein. It lasted about a year, until the Gachesky family boss ordered peace, threatening to bring this matter to some of his Italian Mafia friends. The peace lasted 30 years.
The most notable feature of the Mortavishes is that they were almost animal-like. They had amazing strength and could communicate well between each other, but they didn’t have fully developed brains and weren’t great at strategy. This was almost the exact opposite of the Gacheskys, who were geniuses, but lacked much physical strength. Because of the Mortavishes lack of brain-power, the family concentrated on a large number of petty crimes rather than a few large operations. For this reason, no one noticed the family growing so large during the 30 year peace period. By the time 2030 came, the Mortavishes numbered well over 10 million family members spread over the globe.
Unfortunately, this happened to be the exact time when the Gachesky boss died, causing temporary chaos in the family and giving the Mortavishes an excellent opportunity to strike. Now that the Mortavish family was so large, the small war that had been in 1999 had become a huge war. The Mortavish family almost immediately destroyed the entire Gachesky family except for a few members who were able to escape, undetected, to America. The authorities in Liechtenstein noticed a huge increase in criminal activity and began cracking down on the Mortavishes. At this point the Mortavishes turned to their animal-like instinct of rage and began destroying and plundering the whole country. The United Nations stepped in but was also utterly annihilated. The Mortavishes then moved on to the rest of Europe and soon parts of Asia, calling on their many members in those parts of the world to help.
