Chapter 1: Three’s Too Many
The rain pelted the windows of the train as it chugged along the country side of Greenville, Iloki. Iloki is pretty much like the United States only with provinces and much more freedom. The train was ran by a company called Philistines' Army and seated a total of 140 civilians inside its metal stomach. Currently there were 35 men, women, and children resting inside it. Kruts Gode, Shinou, and Adumnio Lullilo all sat in one room all with their own seat. Kruts was on the floor, his white blanket contrasting his tan skin, brown hair, jean style clothing, and blue eyes. The blanket constricted the others views from anything but his eared head and a black tail that stuck out from the back side of his being. Shinou rested his legs on the seat as he leaned back against the frame of the window. His purple hair covering most of his face with flashes of green and blue against the atmosphere. His purple and black tipped tail swished itself back and forth between his legs. A blanket covered him as well so that one could only see his head and his tail. Adumnio was the only one not covered.
Adumnio was the triads odd one out. Never did she act like them, never once did she see the world through their eyes. Adumnio was a girl all her own. She had brilliant red hair that curled down her neck to her bra line. She wore a dress that wrapped around her figure so well that it enhanced her otherwise flawless figure. A figure that was of course hour-glass and every woman's dream. Her eyes flashed vibrant green from one direction and lucid blue from the other and at the angles in between spanned the spectrum between the two. Her pale skin glowed softly beneath the purple and red rimmed v-cut, Mexican frilled dress. Her shoes were high tops that were currently laying next to her with the heels broken off, her black tights wrapped their way up her legs and she wore a necklace. The necklace was amethyst and seemed to pulse with power. In fact that was what her attention was set at at this very moment.
The necklace was wire strung coated in a poly-plastic material. The amethyst was shaped in the form of a small egg and was about the diameter of a nickle and the size of a small bouncy ball. It had been given to her by a street vendor by the name of Izonou. She called him Izo for short. He gave her the necklace as a good bye gift. "So you'll never be far away from me, my princess of fire." She had taken it without a second thought, he was her boyfriend after all. Once boarding the train though she didn't like it. It gave off an evil aura, one she didn't like.
The train rocked back and forth and a bump once in a while would fling the necklace off her neck and up above onto the luggage wracks. "Dammit! Get back her you horrid thing." Adumnio would whisper out loud and then reach back to get it. This time however was different. The bump wasn't little, it was huge.
SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH!!!!
The train lurched to a sudden stop. Adumnio's necklace went flying through the air towards Shinou and landed on his tail. Quicker then a fly the necklace began to glow the same deep purple as Shinou's fur and tightened around the tail. Adumnio gasped and stood up nocking her shoes onto Krut's head who then in turn yowled loudly. "WHY'D you hit me?" Both turned to see a sour faced Shinou glaring at them with a red face. It looked like he was trying to say something but he couldn't. Kruts then in his usual goofy way, waddled over to his tail and with a nail poked the necklace-now-tail brace. "Whats dis?" Kruts was a child at heart and his actions, even in dangerous times, showed up first. Adumnio slowly fell back into her chair and assumed her "princess" pose. Legs crossed and a velvet black fan pulled out and fanning herself. She wasn't answering any questions.
Shinou couldn't talk but he could move. Swiftly he bent over to examine his tail. He too poked it with a nail and as he did a loud "PING" echoed throughout the train. The sound emanating from deep with in the bracelet. It slowly loosened its grip on his tail and Shinou ripped it off and threw it to the floor. All three watched as it melted into a pool of black, smoking liquid and then rolled itself into a sphere that floated up towards the ceiling. It hit the wood and shook itself. It seemed to be alive. "Adumnio, who gave that to you?" His voice as mature as he was, which was nineteen, was like a spell. Adumnio had to answer or else she was tortured for a week by his tail. "Izonou."
The boys sighed. Izonou was there enemy. The sphere was, well no one knew yet. Adumnio hefted herself off the seat and plucked it out of the air. She opened the window and tossed it outside where it then floated up to the sky never to be seen again. They never would know what that sphere was, or maybe they would nothing was certain with them. All three then squeezed out of the train car and out into the hallway with the other guests. The train had stopped and that was unusual and bad. Whatever it was they would soon find out. A loud thumping boom echoed from across the halls. Loud, booming footsteps and then that familiar "PING" made its appearance. Whatever it was it had just been joined by that annoying pendant, it was huge, and the aura almost made all three ex-demons faint from the stench. Adumnio took out a conducting stick, Shinou took out a a chain with saws at both ends, and Kruts picked his teeth not showing his fear.
