In the time when Zeus was still king of the Gods, Poseidon was in control of the seas, and Hades rule the Underworld. It was said that there was three beautiful Goddess that were stronger then all the Gods combine. they were so strong that even the Great and Mighty Zeus fear them and the power that they possessed. They were the Sisters of Fates.
Clotho, the youngest, combed and spun the yarn of mans life. Lachesis was the that decided how long the person would live and die. And finally Atropos, the eldest sister, was know as the Goddess of Death because she was the one who would cut the wool ending the person life. Her weapon was so sharp that it could even end the life of a God. Its was also said that they had the power to control time its self.
These sisters had the power to create and end lives, foresee events, and even have the knowledge to kill a God. They had so much power and knowledge that the other Gods decided to take their power and lock it away so that they may never have that much power over them again. But they had to careful or the sister would See what they were up to.
Zeus had Hephaestus create a small fragile looking ball, that once held would suck the powers of anyone holding it out. It took Hephaestus many months for him to create the ball. when he was done Hephaestus put the ball in a box and gave it to Zeus explaining how it would work. Zeus would need to have all three sister holding the ball at the same time because the ball would only work once.
The first part of Zeus plan was complete, the next step was to get the sister to hold it without them Seeing it before hand. So Zeus had Dionysus, the God of Wine, throw a huge party and gave him pacific orders to only give the sister the strongest wine he possessed.
On the day of the party, the sister were having a great time and were so intoxicated that they weren't able to make out the visions they were having. Zeus seeing that they were heavily intoxicated knew that it was the time to strike.
Zeus called the sisters to him and presented them the box containing the ball. Before they open the box Zeus said that the only way to remove the item in the box was for them to pull it out together.
