Daylight made us realize that we were both incredibly tired. Still not expecting anything beyond what we had been doing all night, I told her that it was my time to go. As I gathered my coat and scarf, I thanked her for the beer, the tangelos, and the conversation. She gave me a hug and thanked me for being so kind to her. I took a business card out of my wallet, turned it around, and wrote down my name and phone number.
"Call whenever, and I'll listen."
I gave her one more hug before setting off to find my car in the increasing snowfall.
