Today I commited "worm murder". Every spring, I plant my tomatoes and I go out one morning to see that the dreaded "tomato worm" has eaten a good portion of my tomato leaves, hence no tomatoes forthcoming. I have tried organic gardening, no pesticides, etc. I cannot keep up with the worms. They are prolific breeders. I remember when I fist discovered tomato worms. I had the tomatos in pots then. went out one morning I saw miniture grenades all over the deck. Further investigation revealed they were tomato worm droppings. These worms go from little tiny larve to 3 inch long worms in about 3 days. So you can image the amount of waste they produce.
So the problem of suffering today takes a new twist. I must suffer through another summer with the battle of the tomato worms. I tried pulling them off and squashing them, but I cannot win the battle. So today I got out the Sevin dust yesterday.
