The woman turned onto me. "I'm so sorry, sweetheart. I never thought this would happen." She walked up to me and enveloped me in a deep hug.
I placed my hands on the lady's stomach and pushing her backwards, I wriggled out of her grasp. "Who are you?" I snapped, angry that she would be so bold.
The woman's face fell, and she stepped back quickly, her hand reaching out to clasp the man's. "I'm your aunt, Lillian. Didn't your mother ever say anything? She told us she had informed you about everything."
"What do you mean....'everything'?" I growled, crossing my arms over my chest, my body positioning itself in a defensive position to match the rigidity of my mind.
The man patted the woman's shoulder as disbelief flooded her features. "About you being a-" "Gideon! Laurana!" My dad jogged over and placed an arm around my shoulders. "How have you two been?"
Laurana shook her head. "She didn't tell her?" She screeched. My dad pasted a smile onto his face. "It's great to see you two again. I'm sorry it's in these circumstances though."
"She didn't tell her?!" Laurana screamed again, losing all of her composure. "It's been a long day though. I think Lillian and I should be getting home.
I glanced between my recently discovered to be aunt and my father. "You should call some time, Gideon. I think there were some things of Dana's that she would like you two to have."
My dad's grip on my shoulder tightened as he turned me around and forced me to walk down the sidewalk. "Dad? What was she talking about?" I whispered, barely able to work my voice. My father shook his head.
"Don't worry, Lillian. Your aunt Laurana isn't all there." He told me, patting the top of my head and ruffling my black hair.
