This is not happening. I don't think I can handle this right now. I don't know how I am going to face him.

Luke approaches me and gives me a worried look. "You are soaking wet," he says. "Was it raining?"

I roll my eyes. "No it's National Baptism Day," I say.

Luke ignores my comment and continues talking.

"My mom said she saw you in the park on her way home from work at the hospital," he says.

I can easily read his face after years of knowing him. He looks completely guilty. I can barely stand it.

When I remain silent he starts to become increasingly nervous. "I thought that something must be up so I raced down here. You didn't stop by my house did you?"

I am now faced with the difficult decision of telling him what I did and what I saw or keeping what I know a secret. I know I should tell him that he is a cheating bastard and that I never want to see him ever again. If I do that the relationship will be over.

What will people think?

Will people think that it is my fault he cheated. They will think that I drove him away.

I take in a deep painful breathe. I look over at Ashton and he gives me a reassuring look.

To my surprise he starts talking to Luke. "She actually came to the park to meet me," he says.

Luke raises an eyebrow. "Why are you meeting my girlfriend in at a park in the middle of the night?"

Luke seems jealous. He has no right to be jealous when he is the one who cheated on me.

Ashton looks at me for some guidance. I appreciate him lying for me. I don't think I ever want him to know what I saw and how I saw it. Now I need to come up with a reason as to why I am with Ashton in this park.

"Well we are meeting here because Ashton just moved into the neighborhood," I say.

Okay that was a very flimsy reason I really need to add to it and make it more believable.

"We met at camp a few years ago," I say more confidently.

Luke gives me a strange look. "I never knew you went to camp," he says.

I am quick to respond. "Oh yes I did. I few summers ago. We made a lot of great memories at Camp Chippewa," I say.

"Isn't that the camp from Addams Family Values?" He gives me a questioning glare.

Ashton interjects. "Actually the camp in that movie was inspired by our wonderful Camp Chippewa," he says.

"That is correct," I say. "Ashton and I became very good friends at Camp Chippewa and when he told me he moved here I just had to visit him. Time must have escaped us while we were catching up," I say.

He glances between Ashton and me. "Okay, so do you need a ride home Rose?"

"That's okay I was going to give her a ride home," Ashton says.

Luke looks very irratated right now. He always has been protective around me.

I see Luke take a deep breathe. "I guess I will see you tomorrow," he says as he gives me a quick peck on the cheek.

"Goodbye Luke," I say.

He gives me a small smile before he heads back to his house.

I turn to Ashton. "So you are taking me home?"

"We can walk to my car. My house is very close," he says.

Once we reach his car I give him directions to my house. I sit in the car in slilence as I try to digest everything that has happened today.

"Thank you so much for everything," I say to Ashton.

"No problem. I am happy to help."

I look out of the window and see that we are already at my house.

"I hope I can see you soon," I say.

"I have a feeling that you will," he says.

I unlock the door to my house and give him a wave goodbye.

My parents must be asleep by now. If they knew I stayed out so late they would kill me.
