Dance?
Dance to the beat. The music skimming across her eardrums. The beat pulsing with her heartbeat.
Boom. Boom. Boom.
Spinning and turning like a whirling dervish. Entranced by the sounds and stuck in the melody. Rhythm is her soul.
"Kaylee!"
Her lithe body moves seductively through the crowds, turning a few heads here and there but most are too intoxicated to notice much more than a whirl of colour slip past them.
"KAYLEE!"
A pair of hands grip at her shoulders, stopping her mid movement and causing her to nearly lose balance. She blinks and frowns at the rough contact.
"Jason? What's up? I was having fun" She says to him with a pout.
"You were losing it Kay, if I hadn't stopped you you woulda crossed again."
Her eyes wide with realisation she stares at him. The tall blonde she called Jason smiled her sadly and pulled her into a hug. Being much taller than her he rests his chin on her head and mutters soothing words to her.
She wraps her arms around his waist, clinging to his t-shirt slightly as the rush of the music and adrenaline of movement wears off.
After a moment they step outside the pulsing club, past several people yelling at each other on the side walk.
"Well, despite my obvious slip up, it's been a really good evening so far." Kaylee smiles up at Jason, a grin adorning his own features at memories of the evening.
She laughs and bounces along in front of him, her 50's style cocktail dress flaring slightly at each step. The purple roses on it swishing about her knees.
"God you're beautiful." Jason whispers to himself.
And she was.
The 19 (nearly 20 year old) was 5' 4", slender yet still curvy in all the right places. Dark brown hair bobbing just below her shoulders in loose natural ringlets. The knee length cocktail dress was white with large purple roses spattered across it and fitted to her chest and torso snugly, flaring from her hips slightly. She was the picture of innocence (till you got to know her) and that's how she liked it to stay.
