Forbidden Fruits
-Tempting Fruit-
Every day the farmer walks out to water his fruit trees daily. On this particular day he was taking his time though. He didn't know why, but he seemed to have been forgetting a lot on this day. He began by shaving his brown and fuzzy beard; then he decided to drink some orange juice as he read the daily paper. All of this took him three hours to do and when he finished it was just beginning to get light outside. With a sigh he got up and walked out his front door.

Sitting on his porch for the entire night up to this point was a young girl. She was still asleep when he opened his door and pushed her further onto the porch. All he could do was look at her. She seemed to be thirteen years old, and she was beautiful. Silver hair flowed all around her head and currently covered her face, which he only glimpsed at. From this glimpse he could tell that she had freckles covering a white complexion and a rounded nose. The best part of her beauty were her almond shaped, dark-reddish eyes that had blinked open when he glimpsed at her. He shut his door and leaned back on it staring at her lean, fragile, and small figure. All he could think was how the gods had blessed him well. All she could think of was don't kill me, I'm only a child.

"Child, get up. I know for fact that you ain't sleeping." The farmer's voice was full of energy that seemed to gather in the air in a bubble and float towards the young girl who let out a giggle. His voice was warm to her ears and soft and loving. She obeyed his words and sat up, the dress she was wearing following her every move. She brushed her hair behind her ears and produced ruby lips that were as soft as velvet, at least it looked like it. Once he was sure that she had heard him, he opened the door and walked outside and stared at her.

"Child, why have you planted yourself here on mine porch?" The girl looked into the man's soft blue eyes and opened her mouth to speak. But instead she shook her head and stood up. She walked over to a wicker chair that was on the porch and sat in it. The farmer sat in the chair next to her and they watched the clouds pass by. Emma smiled and began to rock back and forth in the chair. This grabbed the farmer'
