Jumps
I stand at the base of the hill, looking upwards. It's a steep slope, with grass, small trees and other features of your average hill. I quickly sprint towards the base, grabbing a tree and pulling upwards. From there I sprint up to another boulder nearby, and jump on top. It's not an easy climb up, but it's my favorite. When at the top I look down. It's a sheer drop of thousands of feet. I look out, feeling the wind rush through my hair. Feeling the battering, conflicting forces of nature, and for once I feel alive! There begins, at the cliff bottom, a peculiarity to emerge. It's almost impossible to describe, as if everything at that level was suddenly being erased by some giant eraser. slowly it spreads up, until I can see that the whole cliff is blanking out, replaced by sterile, white, nothingness. Turning around to run back down I discover that the nothingness has spread to the hill I came up, and is heading towards me. Then, something odd happens, time shifts in almost imperceptible doses, as if the nothingness is tired of mere earth and now wants to eat time itself. I turn to face the edge of the cliff; no more wind blows. And then, as time dissolves and the world falls away, I jump.

Falling... falling... why am I always falling? How long has it been, centuries have ticked away, seconds, stretching on as if they would never end but one day giving way. There is no gravity here, but still, somehow I fall. Surrounded by nothingness, I continue on. Sometimes the blank gets to me, makes me go near mad, but other times it calms, and acts as a friend or benevolent father. Am I alive? If so am I mad? If so who should judge me as such? Are there others here, beyond my vision? I make a noise to call out, but then nothing happens. Wait, what is that? A speck of dark, of color! Something new, oh joy of joys, something new! Though many miles away I land in an instant' touching down as if a feather. I look up to survey my surroundings. I stand at the base of a hill, looking upwards...
