In Eternal Youth
There in sleep her pretty brown eyes lie still, closed shut.
Weighed down by a Godly whim of eternal slumber, I gleam over her cool, inert vessel.
How she danced, a beauty all her own; the girl needed no one else to glow golden in perpetual adolescence.
A smile, a giggle, a laugh, a beam--she showered me with absolute joy in her lively company.
Silence meets me now, nothing more.

So with a devil's twisted grimace, I come to walk through the distant shreds of happy memory I had come to label home.
Where at one time you belonged in my protective arms, forever enchanted by my embrace.
Where at a time you offered me nothing but tears thanks to my sharp, cutting words.
Where at a time you fought with me for another future, one of binding togetherness.

How did Liberty lie to me?
What overcame my hands to make brazen, harmful attempts at my maiden in pearly white?
The woman who, in her rotting, permanent grasp a lace of tying love; she was my innocent victim.
Death can never hold a candle in ensuring your supernatural charm; no, life was a far more comfortable fit for you.

You were mine for a time, and yet the taste of freedom overcame your remorseful watcher; forgive your reckless guardian will you?
I pray to you, my would-be lover: find it in your silent heart and motionless mind to bestow upon me my original honor of your protector.
Let me encase you in safety and joy, let me be the one that matters once more.
For your never ending silence pains me to listen to...

In your eternal youth, I will forever remain beside you, a victim of restless age and forever awaiting a chance at the delicious poison of death.
Just so I can correct my wrongs and purge myself of an unworthy nature.
