Daily Journal
3/24/11 Thursday - Got to get this down - somewhere... Been going through lots of internal changes lately. Haven't done any journal or done any kind of writing in soooo long. I really need to write. Today, Sweetie is at a couple of meetings and I'm 'on my own' here at work, at least until he gets back with Henry.

I've been feeling like I need to journal every day and do some kind of needlework every day as well. But by the time we get home from work and eat and do the dishes and try to unwind in front of the TV it is time to go to sleep. I'm with Sweetie every minute of every day and if I want to do something that doesn't include him, I have to do it after he falls asleep. That's pretty tough because of the time we have to wake up in the morning for work. That leaves weekends.

O.K. so all this sounds like an excuse and I guess if I'm being brutally honest, it is. My life seems so chaotic and unorganized. I feel like I have no time for myself and I'm living several realities all at the same time - none of them is ideal.

I'm looking for a vehicle to help me organize my life - something that I can keep all my projects in (both for work and personal) - our finances - our schedules, correspondences and things we have to keep track of like website usernames and passwords, documents, etc. I guess there is no such thing as an All-In-One Organizing tool. I've just downloaded 'My Life Organized' but it is on the computer at work and not on a flash-drive. (My 4GB HP flashdrive just crashed a few days ago - I backed up most of my documents but I lost all my Kee-Pass information entirely - there goes all the passwords I had saved...) I need a better way to lead my life - perhaps a new daily routine that will touch everything I have to do like keep track of finances - (Wells Fargo and start a Mint.com account), handle the miriad number of projects at work every day - invoicing, handling paperwork, doing new orders, tracking orders, logging in new bid opportunities, Tracking bid opportunities, obtaining bid plans, doing sign count recaps, quotes, bid submittals, shipping, etc...) There is SO much to remember!!! Then there is keeping track of passwords for websites and programs. I have to find a way to regularly back-up the information I have - be it on the work computer, or on a flash-drive or laptop, too! I need to get our finances organized - keep all our financial correspondence organized in specific places - not some hokey manila folder that I keep everything in... Not working. Once I get all that done, I need to set up schedules and goals for my personal projects - model building, needlework projects and my novel writing. I feel so overwhelmed!
