I awaken in horrible agony to a beautiful new Monday morning. The blinding sunlight begins to burn the image of the daylight into my eyes. I roll over, begging the sun for a few more minutes. If this sounds familiar, than I guess I'm just like you.

I start the day just like every other day, with all the monotony included. I begin to stir, slowly picking myself up off the cold bathroom floor. Just like everyone does. The blaring alarm from my cellphone keeps reminding me that I am ten minutes behind and a dollar down.

I see dried blood in the bathroom sink. Razor blades lie pressed to the counter. Trace amounts of narcotics. All the remnants of a perfect Sunday evening. As usual, I find myself staring over the same stain-covered porcelain bowl...again. It always appears to be clean, but my mind reminds me how fucking disgusting it truly is.

I stare aimlessly into the water, hoping that I'm dreaming. Thankfully, my churning stomach doesn't come up. However, I can't help but believe that some insidious creature with scaly claws will reach up from the unknown. Grasping for my limbs as though he means to drudge me deep down into an existence of shit. Just as I begin to wonder if I'm dreaming or if this creature is real, the sun re-awakens me to my morning terrors. Alas, more morbidly than the day before, I begin the cycle a-new.

I skip the morning pleasantries and take my day in a western style. My wife Corona greets me in the kitchen, always with a smile on her face. So delicious and refreshing. Since she has a label and a price tag, she makes all my neighbors jealous. -Chuckle- My fingers caress over her glass figure, as I bask in and enjoy the bitter coldness that she instills in me. Our mouths connect, intertwining in the passion of lovers. So I indulge in this sweet nectar called love.
