"One, maybe two, wait no definitely three." Harper said while the man behind the counter scooped her peppermint ice cream on to a cone.
"Dont you think thats a little excessive?" exclaimed Chloe as she pushed her blond hair behind her ears to take a bite of her ice cream.
"What? getting three scoops? No. its my lunch" replied Harper.
She needed ice cream, didn't Chloe understand that by now? Any time she was having a bad day she went and got a scoop of ice cream, and she's been having a lot of those lately, so getting three scoops is just being pro-active.
"We should probably go, lunch is almost over." Chloe said as Harper got her ice cream.
"Yeah." Harper handed Chloe her car keys. Harper got into the passanger seat while Chloe put the top down in the convertible. She pulled out the joint for the sunvisor
"You are not smoking that before we go back to school." Chloe scolded her.
"Why not?"
"Im not letting you go to class high right now."
"fine well smoke it after school." Harper suggested.
Chloe pulled into the school parking lot. She parked in Harpers assigned spot. As they pulled into the Harper tried not to look at the bright blue Four Running in the next spot, but it brought back a flood of memories anyways. The hawaiian girl sitting on the dashboard stared back at her taunting her-like she knew. She really needed to get a new pa spot. Harper sat paralyzed in her seat as she tried to gain her composure to go back to class. Ten minute until lunch was over, hopefully she wouldn't see him.
As Chloe and Harper walked up to the main class room building, students in catholic school uniforms milled around them, on their lunch break. They spotted Abigail and Jordan sitting on the grass with their note books out, studying for their history test.
"Three scoops today, Harper?" Abigail said as Chloe and Jordan approach
"Fuck yeah" Harper said as she sat next to them.
"I tried to talk her out of it, but she wasnt having it." Chloe protested
" I needed it." Harper seconded
"give me a bite!" Jordan chimed in between turning pages of her notebook
"nope! you had your oppotunity to come!"
"I cant keep up with you eating lunch off campus everyday!" Jordan said while she took HA
