Poetry
The simple sounds of silence
are broken by the beat
of a heart much hardened
by hot summer's heat.

See how summer's sweet
rain rambles from the sky,
and to the heart's hurt
sings sweet love's lullaby.

For what can heal a hurt
under dewy drops of rain,
quicker than a kiss
that peels away the pain?
