I wish I had a name like Mars. She gave me some teddy grahams the other day at work (Yes, Mars is really a person I know). It was a terrible day until she did that. I don't think she knew how much she actually cheered me up, so I'm going to give her a "Wow" ballot for it. I think she'll like that.
Those teddy grahams didn't last long though. Especially because I shared with him. He'd been working really hard all day. I'd been having a rough day, and he looked like he was tired and needed an excuse to stop working, so I toddled over to him, teddy graham in my grasp.
"What did you do to it?", that was the reply I got when I offered him one. To which I replied, "Nothing, yet." He grinned his silly grin, then reached out for it. And after all the effort it took me to actually walk over there and give him one, he dropped it on the floor. The worst part, was he ate it after. I still giggled at his antics ("Ew, there was a long black hair in it" -- there totally wasn't a hair in it, fyi).
Even though I haven't worked there long, he somehow knows when I'm not having a good day, and tries his damnedest to act like more of a goof than he already is. Although, sometimes, I just wish he'd let me be grumpy; then again, I'd probably feel even worse if he just left me alone to wallow in my own sadness. Maybe he deserves a "Wow" ballot too. It's not just me he watches out for either; if anyone's in a grumpy mood, Jordan will work his magic and somehow always ends up making people smile.
He knows I have bad ears now (one of the things I was scared to tell him). What we were talking about that brought it up, I'm not sure of, but I do know that I missed part of what he said to me as he mumbled and walked away from me. This is how the rest went down:
"What?"
"What?!"
"You know, when I ask you 'what' I legit didn't hear what you said."
"I know, so I say 'what' and then you get pissed off, and then I laugh."
Although he was more than correct about how his antics "piss me off", I found myself giggling as I walked away from him, shaking my head. Yet, I still cannot tell whether his bubbly-ness is simply friendliness or if he might actually have some kind of feelings for me, like I do.
