Sorry it's been so long since we've talked but i've had assessments to study for etc.
Things have been going quite well recently, i've finished my english assessment which is relieving.... Although tomorrow i have english extension and music and then everything else after that. which seems quite daunting. But you know i'll survive. Lately i haven't been doing much writing because i've been too busy, but here is a sample from my english creative writing that i did last thursday:
Everyone has become numb, dead on the inside. This is society. They leave you alone inside your own head to ask yourself infinite questions with no answer. You never felt safe there, your own mind should be a haven but it has been destroyed by the culture of our youth. Even if you are physically in the arms of those whom you feel safest with, you cannot be at peace. You try to cocoon yourself from within, not ready to emerge like that of a caterpillar in chrysalis.
You walk through a sea of loved ones yet they do not love you; in fact their love is the very reason you could snap at any moment. They crash against you over and over; relentless waves that do nothing but to wear you down to your thinnest most fragile state. And yet if it weren’t for this relentless crashing the systematic stillness of society, the plain conformity would drown you. Thoughts would consume you. Everybody is so wrapped up in themselves that you may as well be alone and this loneliness would drown you, it would be as though your lungs were filling with water slowly pushing and pulling. Dragging you down.
You could sit in the coffee shop for days, watching people roll past like a time-lapse video. You could make eye contact with every person that came in. You could smile.
“Hi, Nice day isn-“
“Fuck off creep.”
Yeah so thats a sample.. i'll upload the full version on here a little later. I really need to sort out my comp portfolio. Anyway I guess things are good :)
