I followed, standing up and wiping the dead moss off of my new dress. "You get the food, separate it into three piles." Colin said hastily, already pulling medical supplies out and sorting them. I did so too, opening the numerous bags we had laid down beside the rocks, and sorted through them, pulling out the bags of cashews, the canned fruit and veggies, the containers of berries. Wow, we had gotten a lot...hopefully it would last us all through the trip.
"Antonio, you sort the other things. Blankets, coats, clothes and things."
"Alright!" he replied, standing up also and heading over to the bags, getting in Colin's way, and pulling out blankets and bags sloppily.
It was, again, just us, in the forest. Colin stared at his quickly created three piles of medical supplies, counting and recounting in whispers. Antonio hummed a little tune, and I sat quietly, using one hand to try and brush my now greasy and tangled hair, the other beginning to separate the fruit. That was when we heard the noise....
It was nothing at first, just the crack of a little twig on the ground.
