Sunday, June 20.
It was really hot today, but I don't mind. I'd rather be hot than cold, to be honest. I went to the grocery store this morning and got some things, like my blueberry nutri-grain bars! Those things are just delicious. Then around three my boyfriend, Tyler, surprised me and came knocking at my door, asking me if I wanted to go to his cousins' birthday party, which wasn't too far from my house. Of course, I said yes - any time with him is time that I treasure. Also, his little cousin Austin is, like, six, and I love being around little kids. So I walk there with him and his little brother Kyle, just talking about anything and laughing and smiling. Then I thought to myself, 'These are the times that I will always treasure.'
We get to the party. As soon as I get there, Tyler's OTHER little brother, Caileb, is already all over me. It's cute, seeing as how he's three. Then I see Kaylee, Tyler's little sister, and she squeals and runs over to me. Kaylee is four, and I love her as if she's my own little sister. She's not blood-related to Tyler at all; she's simply his dad's girlfriend's daughter. She's Jamaican, like me, and I wonder if in some way we are related. If I ever found out that we were I'd be extremely happy. Anyway. Kaylee and Caileb love me, and even though I've only been dating Tyler for roughly ten months, I feel like I've known his family forever, and that I fit in with them perfectly. I turn around and Austin is running up to me saying, 'Hi, Celina!' Of course, he's all wet from being in the pool, but I give him a big hug anyway. Like I said, I love little kids. Apparently, they love me, too.
After about an hour, me, Tyler, and Kyle are kind of bored. There's a whole buttload of little kids running around in bathing suits, with squirt guns in hand and tricycles everywhere. So instead, we leave and go to the park down the street. When we get there Kyle is complaing that that have to pee (which I, for some reason, thought was hilarious). Kyle went behind a building after Tyler and I yelled at him because he didn't want to. Tyler and I try to run from Kyle but he sees us and runs after us, and the next thing I know I'm being tackled to the ground by Tyler and I'm laughing. So I lay on the grass (even though I'm allergic) and watch the clouds in the sky. It was nice. After a while we got bored and decided to go to Fort Taber, a beach that was also used as a fort during wars in the 1900's. We explored the forts and such. It was a fun day. I love being outside. Especially in summer weather. I just wish I could have stayed outside with them for the rest of the day, rather than for just an hour or so. I can't wait until I am finally out of school. Fun times are to be had!
