Today, I am writing. I'm not sure what I'm writing or for how long I will write, but for now, I am writing.
The next story I want to work on is one that I started for NaNoWriMo a few years ago. I love the idea of the portal through the bookstore, but I never really got it off the ground during November, instead getting embroiled in minutiae.
Therefore, I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to do some outlining and plotting ahead of time.
So let's start anew.
I don't remember the main character's name, so I think I'll assign a new one.
Premise, main character just inherited a bookstore from her great uncle. She has returned to her hometown, half intending on selling the store but also semi-considering sticking around and running the store as she contemplates the next phase of her life.
So we need a description of the bookstore, and if I recall correctly the FMC inherited not only the bookstore itself, but the entire building. Therefore, she is the tenant of the other businesses in the building. The bookstore comprises the first floor (with storage in the basement) and the second floor has several offices, one of which is a psychologist, one is a psycic and the other is an accountant.
The third floor contains a private apartment and more storage of old business records of the uncle. His personal research, etc.
